Do this NOW!

In the upper left corner of this blog, you can sign up to be "emailed" when I post something new. I highly recommend this so you do not have to check to see if I've posted, but rather I tell YOU when I've posted. I use to do that with all of the blogs that I keep up with, but now, nightly, I get an email that says, "such and such blogs have updated" which lets me know who it is and I can either see it now or later, or ignore it!

So...it's real easy, just input YOUR email address and let BLOGARITHM tell you when I post.

Thanks for reading........and comment often!! Perhaps you "lurkers" would like to "delurk" and introduce yourself. Where are you from? Are you adopting??? Just a thought!

:)

Ok, I confess. I'm a lurker. I'm not adopting, but in 10 years or so, once I'm old enough, have finished however many millions of years of school, and I have a good job, I am going to adopt. I don't know from what country. i was thinking China, but that isn't looking promising. Perhaps India or Poland. not sure! Things are always changing! My mom lives in Highlands Ranch, so I saw your blog and thought it was neat that you arein the Denver area. The first post I read was the one where you tell your sons you are adopting and that's what got me hooked! Their reactions were priceless! Loved it! Feel free to go check out my blog. it's mostly my cats and boring things. But someday it will be interesting!

I too was lured in by the video of your sons reaction to the adoption. Hilarious!

My husband and I are also adopting from Ethiopia. We just finished our dossier last week... so we're just beginning the hard part! We're rooting for you guys! (Oh, and I have a feed on your blog, so I know when it's updated.) Thanks for sharing your story. :)

Christina,
I'm glad you have "de-lurked"! I love knowing who in the world is reading this stuff and my boys get a kick out of the comments too. My 13 yr. old loves your cat pictures so I'm sure he'll keep checking your blog. Now HE wants to start a blog about the things that he is passionate about...Sadie our cat, his drawing and life!

Holly,
I'm glad you are "feeding" into our blog now. It saves time doesn't it!! You are at the same place we are pretty much so I can appreciate your Halleluia moment. Waiting on our referrals of 2 girls keeps me on my toes. Every time my phone rings now I look at the ID to see if it's my agency. It drives me crazy. Then when we have our referrals it'll drive me crazy when the court date is! What a journey...this life! I too have seen your blog in the past and will keep up!

I guess I will de-lurk. I live in Canada, have five children and am adopting two more from Ethiopia. Our dossier should be there in about a month. Keep up the great blogging!

P.S. I LOVE LOVE LOVE the video of your boys' reactions to the news! Your girls will be blessed to have such wonderful big brothers!

Sharla...you de-lurker you! I perused your blog and loved your "interests" part in ABOUT ME ... the back-up straw thing. That is hilarious. I have little idiosyncrasies too, but that one was funny. Your family is beautiful and WoW...2 more. I'm glad your husband is now on board and open to 2 more...so do you need to buy a bigger van? What kinda van seats 9? All the best, I'll keep lurking at yours!

Laura,
You never noticed the Blogarithym sign up 'cause it wasn't there until a couple of days ago. You are not crazy. Okay, I'll have Evan do another song for Addision! He'd love that! I have already subscribed to your blog so I'm always updated. Isn't that cool?
Have a great day!

Tara,
Thank you for introducing yourself. That's a lotta kids you'll have. I've always admired that when I see big families. I secretly wished I could have that too. Then after 3 years of infertility, I had my oldest thru IVF (my little miracle), then my 2nd boy came along for the "ride". I thought I was done, but then pastor at church preached a sermon I couldn't ignore! Are you waiting for 2 girls? or a boy and girl? I've linked to your blog. I look forward to reading it! ;)

Hi there! Im finally coming out of the closet; so to speak. I live in nassau bahamas and i am happily married with one child.Oh, did i mention that my husband is ethiopian?? Well he is. He would like to have at least 2 more children; however i dont think i want to be pregnant anymore. I've been trying to convince him that we should adopt from ethiopia. Hopefully he will become convinced soon!!!!

Hey Sepia_Goddess...
I just love all you lurkers coming out of the lurking closet. Doesn't it feel good?!!

Sepia, I was hoping you had a blogsite that I could lurk thru...I think I'm the first one to look at your profile that doesn't exist ;) Blogging is fun, and you can see from which states and countries who is reading your blog. your husband might enjoy seeing how other people feel as you and he does about your current consideration. There is a woman at my Ethiopian church who is also married to an Ethiopian and has adopted 3 ET children...you can see 2 of her children on my site. Good luck with that and if you start a blog (blogspot.com) please let me know. Wow!...you live in the Bahamas? What's THAT like?

Thankyou lisa for your comments. I actually do wonder what it would be like to start my own blog; but i know that would probably never happen. I am ashame to admit that i am sooooooooooooooooo very computer illiterate.I Dont even know how to go about it. I know it would be pretty awesome though, i enjoy so much reading your blog and other ethiopian adoption blogs. And by the way lisa,to answer your last question it is an absolute joy living here in the bahamas even though i hate that it is always sunny!!!!!! A little bit of cold certainly wouldn't be that bad. Thanks again for yourencouraging words lisa. Take care and i hope your girls will be home soon.

Sepia_Goddess,
Let me just say that you do not have to be too computer literate to create and keep up a blog...really. You can write once a day, every few days or once a month. It's YOUR site and you control it and it's FREE. There is a You-Tube clip that talks you thru it http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BnploFsS_tY

If you could get it set up, it is seriously, easy as 1,2,3! Think of your blog name (Sepia_Goddess' Family Blog? or whatever you want it to be). Think of a name that will be lasting for years..."Life with the Smith's" for instance. There is even a "Dummies" book on blogging, but you don't need that. The fun part is choosing your template, then writing your first post and clicking "publish". And for instance if I wanted to change my template, I can do it any time and all of my posts just change with it. I or anyone else can help you or you can call me. My new friend Amber from Dallas started hers when she read mine (I'm pretty sure that's what she told me) and now she blogs every few days and I know how her adoption is going.
Give it a try....you can do it!!

Hi,
I just came across your blog from reading Our big crazy family blog. I read their's all the time. And I have a feeling I will be reading yours now also. I am a stay at home Mom in Atlanta. We have 3 bio kids. And are waiting to start the process to adopt maybe 2 or 3 children from Ethiopia. I do have a question, do you have any good ideas on how to raise the money to do the adoption? I am so anxious to get started!!!

Lisa said...

Michele,
I am so glad you found my blog. And I love Atlanta, wish I could visit more. I love their blog too and read every post as it updates each night from "Blogarithm.com". You are adopting 2 or 3 children? You are amazing. God bless you! I sure with you had a blog that I could read. Please feel free to email me and we could chat that way or exchange phone numbers.

I thought your question about how to raise money was a great one, and rather than answer it long-winded here, I'll create a post on it after I frost a cake and make dinner and sit with an Ethiopian cup of coffee......I wish you were here! You sound lovely...let's talk.
