Our Journey and Thoughts Through Our Life In Denver, the Adoption of a Precious Ethiopian Little Girl Who at Two Years of Age was Orphaned ... and Just Stuff.
About Us
Tigist was adopted August 9th, 2008. This has become her date of birth into this family and a new and promising life, and also the day we celebrate her birthday and honor her beautiful Ethiopian Mother who we know nothing about. The only thing we know about Tigist is that she was found wandering alone and needed to be rescued. Perhaps her Mother is alive, perhaps she is not, I don't know. But the common thread with these types of adoptions in Ethiopia is that the family is poverty stricken, perhaps Mother has AIDS, maybe deceased, and the child is left to fend for themselves. Bless these children, they suffer incredible circumstances, I've seen it with my own eyes. Although we can't help a significant number of children in need, we most certainly helped this precious little girl, my incredible & amazing daughter Tigist. She is 10 now, healthy and knows more words than she actually should, thanks to her 2 adult brothers who would go to the ends of the earth for her.
